Secrets of Mirabello Bay & Agios Nikolaos (Private Tour)

We created this route as something truly special. This is not simply another excursion — it is Crete through our eyes: the eyes of people who have lived here for years, love this island deeply and want to share a different side of Crete, far away from classic tourist routes.

For many years, these places remained our secret — shared only with close friends and family. Now we invite you to discover them as our most welcome guests.

How will our journey unfold?

We travel east towards the beautiful Mirabello Bay, one of the most spectacular regions of Crete, where mountains meet turquoise waters and history is present everywhere.

Our first stop is one of the island’s oldest monasteries, dating back to the 16th century. We will visit when almost nobody else is there, and the abbess herself opens the church doors, creating the feeling of stepping several centuries back in time.

Then we head into the mountains towards a hidden traditional village untouched by mass tourism. Here you can experience authentic local life and stop for traditional Greek coffee or mountain herbal tea.

Following scenic mountain roads, we descend towards the magnificent Mirabello Bay itself. With breathtaking sea views and distant views of mysterious Spinalonga Island, this is one of the most photogenic places in Crete.

Our next stop is the fishing village of Plaka, where life moves slowly. Enjoy free time to swim, walk along the coast or have lunch by the sea while local fishermen prepare their boats nearby.

We finish the day in beautiful Agios Nikolaos, often called the “Cretan Saint-Tropez.” Wander through charming streets, admire Lake Voulismeni and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of one of Crete’s most elegant towns.
